TAP 2025

Saturday, September 13th, 1-5pm • Lewis Street, Downtown Shakopee

The best of Minnesota brewing returns to Downtown Shakopee on Saturday, September 13th. It’s TAP 2025: the city’s fourth annual craft beer tasting and innovation showcase, featuring a record 43 breweries from all over the state!

“TAP has turned Shakopee into an important destination for Minnesotan craft brewers,” said Michael Kerski, director of planning and development for the city. “In addition to serving one-of-a-kind beers (and non-alcoholic beers) they brewed just for TAP, brewers look forward to fraternizing with fellow entrepreneurs from FounderyMN.”

To brewers, TAP is also friendly competition. “Guests are encouraged to vote for whichever brewery they would like to win the People’s Choice Awards,” explained Michael. “There’s a lot at stake with $750 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third!”

To guests, TAP is just a good time. Up-and-coming local musicians begin playing on the main stage at 1pm, and OG ZAZA Pizza, O’Brien’s Public House, and Bravi’s Craft Mexican Kitchen food trucks will all be present to serve the only thing that is just as good as beer (i.e. food).

To Shakopee, TAP continues two proud civic traditions. “Beer is in our blood here in Shakopee,” Michael spoke figuratively. “We’ve been a major entertainment destination for as long as we have been a city. We’re also home to Rahr Malting Company: one of the last remaining family-owned malting companies, which has been in business since 1847.

“As a city of innovation and entrepreneurialism, we are delighted to showcase so many Minnesotan-owned breweries – including our very own Mana Brewing and Shakopee Brewhall, plus Fat Pants of Eden Prairie – as well as Written Hugs Designs, Steelhead Outdoors, and several other promising businesses headquartered right here in town.”
