Langhorne Dental Practice Makes Patients Smile Inside And Out

Langhorne/Newtown-based family dentist Dr. Inna Vinnikov, DMD, gives her patients reasons to smile.

The 2005 Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry graduate had practiced dentistry for more than 15 years when, in March 2020, Dr. Vinnikov took over the practice of a retiring local dentist at 410 Executive Drive. This opportunity allowed her to create the modern practice she envisioned, employing latest technologies within an intimate, welcoming atmosphere located in an office complex with plenty of greenery and parking spaces.

“I’m very lucky to be in this position and to have gotten this opportunity,” Dr. Vinnikov says.

By January 2022, she transformed the office with a “bright, airy and clean,” all-white, spa-like décor — plenty of natural light, lush lawn views, relaxing music and soothing scents permeating the vents — helpful features considering the nature of dental work.

Innovation is important to Dr. Vinnikov. “One needs to be driven and inspired to keep improving,” she says. The office's state-of-the-art equipment includes a CT scan machine, digital scanner, digital X-ray equipment and laser equipment to replace impressions and scalpels. Dr. Vinnikov constantly strives to enhance and to discover new ways to connect with patients, taking ongoing continuing education courses to stay knowledgeable of dental advances.

In under two years, the practice has grown, thanks to referrals from patients and friends. “It’s important for us to make our patients happy with our service and treatment,” she says. Additionally, the office, which offers both early morning and evening hours, can accommodate most patients’ schedules.

The practice serves adults, including those who transferred from the original practice, and school-age children, for whom preventative care is provided, including cleanings, exams and X-rays, together with sealants and fluoride treatment. Parents may join their children in the treatment rooms to soothe their nerves. At the end of the appointment, each child leaves with a goodie bag containing stickers or whatever they may find in the treasure chest.

Services include most general dentistry procedures, including fillings, root canals, metal-free crowns, dentures and routine cleanings, and cosmetic dental procedures, such as ZOOM whitening treatment and veneers.

Dr. Vinnikov doesn’t hesitate to explain why dentistry appealed to her. “Dentistry is an art. It’s creative, and I like that aspect in addition to the science that comes along,” she says.

Joining Dr. Vinnikov are two hygienists, a dental assistant, an office manager, a receptionist and a periodontist performing appointment-based gum work and sinus lifts. The dentist values her team, ensuring they are committed to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, which, to her, is key to a positive patient experience.

“When patients see the same people year after year, they gain trust, a feeling of comfort,” she says. Patient relationships are important to Dr. Vinnikov, who says, “We treat patients as family and love seeing them time and again.”

While she admits that stressful days occur, which is typical in a demanding medical field, this dentist loves her work that combines science and artisan techniques. “I’m thankful to have the opportunity to do what I do, with the people I do it with,” she says. “I’m able to provide care and make patients happy.”
