Each fall, Downtown Greeley becomes a canvas of color, creativity, and remembrance. Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, brings together families, artists, performers, and community members to honor loved ones while celebrating a tradition deeply rooted in memory, heritage, and connection.
Throughout the celebration, intricate face painting, traditional attire, marigold displays, music, and dance create one of the most visually striking events of the year. Community altars, known as ofrendas, invite participants to share photographs, keepsakes, and stories that honor those who have passed while keeping their memories alive for future generations.
