Some see a charcuterie board as snacks on a slab. Austyn Burgamy sees it as edible art, layered with color, texture, and intention. Every board is a composition, a balance of flavor and beauty designed to draw people in before they even take a bite.
“I love any excuse to throw a party,” Austyn says with an easy smile that makes you feel instantly welcome. “Food brings people together. That’s what inspires everything I do.”
Launched in August 2023, Austyntatious Kitchen was born from Austyn’s love for hosting and entertaining. She wanted a brand that reflects her Texas roots, her devotion to family and friends, and her passion for creating food that is as gorgeous as it is delicious. For Austyn, preparation is just as important as presentation. It is about thoughtfulness, care, and crafting an experience her guests will remember.
While anyone can pick up cheese and crackers, Austyn elevates the experience with carefully curated, top tier organic ingredients and striking styling. Every cluster of fruit is arranged for visual balance. Each slice of meat is folded with intention. Fresh herbs are not just decoration but a fragrant, flavorful element that ties the whole board together.
“I love styling fruit and doing intricate designs on strawberries, grapes, and blueberries,” she says. “I think of my boards as edible art. I take a lot of time curating them, and it shows.”
She has a few tried-and-true rules that guide every creation. Use crisp green grapes for vibrancy and freshness. Include at least three cheeses for variety and two types of meat for depth. Keep meats and sweets apart to avoid chocolate flavored salami. Play with texture, mixing soft cheeses with crunchy crackers and juicy fruit with rich spreads. And always finish with edible garnishes like basil, rosemary, thyme, or sage.
For Austyn, every board is a chance to make a statement. “I’ve never seen a person look sad while standing over a delicious plate of food,” she says.
Ask Austyn about her favorite creation, and her eyes light up. “It had three curated meats and six cheeses. The bright purples, deep reds, and blueberries made it so eye catching. I even used peppered salami and spicy chorizo. It was colorful, flavorful, and just felt magical.” She remembers how guests kept circling back for another bite and how the board became the centerpiece of the evening.
If there is one misconception she wants to correct, it is the idea that charcuterie is just a fancier lunchable. “It’s more than that. Every ingredient is handpicked to pair perfectly, so every bite is an experience.”
Her boards often go far beyond cheese and meat. Seasonal grazing tables are a favorite, with Christmas, fall, and Halloween themes full of festive details. Think pumpkins, holly berries, sprigs of spruce, and treats that reflect the season. She loves the challenge of making each table thematic and cohesive so the display tells a story from one end to the other.
Her dream design? A Harry Potter grazing table on a long wooden table with floating candles overhead. She envisions golden plates, rich autumnal colors, whimsical desserts, and details straight out of the Great Hall. “I love a good theme. That one would be unforgettable.”
Austyn’s work has become a go-to for celebrations of all sizes, from intimate date nights to full-scale corporate events. She thrives on tailoring each order to fit the occasion, the guests, and the host’s vision. No two boards are ever exactly alike because no two gatherings are the same.
Charcuterie may be the centerpiece of Austyntatious Kitchen, but it is also about connection. Austyn loves seeing guests gather around one of her boards, talking, laughing, and sampling new flavors together.
“I want people to feel joy when they eat my food,” she says. “It’s about making memories as much as it is about making a beautiful board.”
When she is not in the kitchen, Austyn is a former college cheerleader with a story that always gets a laugh. She once broke both arms at the same time, still has arthritis from it, and insists it was worth it because she had a blast.
She is also fully certified and licensed, ensuring every creation meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This professionalism, combined with her creativity and eye for detail, is what keeps her clients coming back.
