The building at 61st and Elm in Broken Arrow used to be a pharmacy. Today, it’s Balance Med Spa, a full-service wellness and aesthetics practice rebuilt from the studs up, but with deep, lasting roots in clinical care. Leading the practice is Director of Operations Lindsay Corsini, a Doctor of Pharmacy who spent 14 years as a compounding pharmacist specializing in hormone consultations. That clinical foundation shaped a philosophy the entire team shares. “You’re not going to look your best if you don’t feel your best,” Lindsay says. “It’s all connected.”Balance Med Spa operates with four providers: nurse practitioner Amy Oden, physician assistant McKenzie Bonnewitz, and certified nurse injectors Alexis Schmoker and Johnna Johnson. Each brings a distinct specialty, and the collaboration between them sets the experience apart. It’s a model that’s uncommon in the med spa space, where most practices rely on one or two providers who handle a little of everything. At Balance Med Spa, a client who walks in for one service might leave having met the entire team. Lindsay recalls a gentleman who came in for one specific thing. “As we talked, it became clear there were several ways we could help him,” she says. “By the time he left, he had met all four of our providers.”That collaborative approach is especially evident on the wellness side, where Balance Med Spa often begins. Hormone optimization, weight management, and thyroid support are frequently the starting point for new clients, and the providers make a point of addressing what’s happening beneath the surface instead of immediately turning to aesthetic enhancements. Amy, a platinum BioTE provider whose specialty in hormone optimization is rare to find in the med spa setting, tailors every plan to the individual. “There’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ here,” she says. “Whether someone is brand new to med spa treatments or very experienced, I meet them where they are.”McKenzie operates at the intersection of wellness and aesthetics. Her focus spans aesthetic dermatology and wellness-based treatments, from advanced laser procedures and skin rejuvenation to hormone optimization. She blends clinical precision with a deep understanding of the technology driving each result. “We combine advanced technology with a strong clinical foundation,” she says, “but we also prioritize education, safety, and long-term results over quick fixes.” Alexis sees the Balance Med Spa approach pay off in deeply personal ways. She recalls a client who came in wanting to feel refreshed but was clear that she didn’t want to look overdone. “At her follow-up, she became emotional and shared that she finally felt like herself again,” Alexis says. “Moments like that really reflect our philosophy.”Every client relationship starts the same way: with a conversation. Balance Med Spa rarely lets someone walk in and book a treatment on the spot. Instead, the providers begin with a consultation, discuss short- and long-term goals, and build a plan together. It’s a process built on education, transparency, and genuine care, and that trust is what keeps clients coming back and telling the people closest to them to do the same.“It’s not about what we do,” Lindsay says. “It’s how we do it. That is really what I’m most proud of.”
