As you say goodbye to the hot summer days and hello to sweater weather, it is the perfect season to explore Bridgewater by enjoying the fall foliage, cozying up with friends and family, and experiencing new restaurants.
Located at the front of a place we all know too well, from window shopping to watching movies, is the Bridgewater Commons. It welcomes an elevated restaurant addition to the mall, Fogo de Chão, the Brazilian steakhouse’s newest location.
Fogo de Chão offers an upscale dining experience. Whether you are looking for a place to enjoy with family and friends, or to host a corporate event, look no further. This is a must-try spot to experience continuous tableside service of fire roasted meats.
When you first enter the restaurant, you are greeted by high ceilings, a well-designed seating area, a full service bar, and an inviting ambiance. Once seated, you are given a two-sided card, colored green and red. This card is the way to communicate with your servers: “yes, I want more food” (green) or “I need a little break” (red). Whether you are looking to indulge in meat or just get a taste, the restaurant offers both the Churrasco experience, which is the continuous tableside service of meats. or you can simply select an entree of your choice, which varies from meat, seafood, and vegan and gluten free options.
We went during dinner time and chose the Churrasco experience. During our time there, the servers continuously circulated the dining area with large skewers of various types of juicy and tender meats, swiftly cutting the meats at our table. One of our favorite selections of meats was the Picanha, as it was the most flavorful. In addition to the Picanha, they also served the widely popular bone-in ribeye and filet mignon. The best part is — you can always ask for more! When you're taking a break from the meats, be on the lookout for the bite-sized grilled cheese with hot honey. This is a spin on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with a pinch of sweetness and spiciness that will leave you wanting more.
The servers never fail to bring your taste buds on an amazing journey with the endless sides of dangerously delicious cheese bread, crispy polenta, creamy mashed potatoes, and caramelized bananas. The cheese bread and mashed potatoes are flat out addicting. If you don’t catch yourself, you’ll be reaching for more and asking for refills. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by their top notch customer service. Floor managers stopped by our table to make sure that the service exceeded our expectations and to gather any feedback.
In addition to the endless meat service, during dinner time, everyone can enjoy the buffet-style market table and Feijoada Bar. On the marble table, there are fresh seasonal salads and fruits, cured meats and cheeses, and more. Across the market table is the Feijoada Bar, which serves Brazilian stew with black beans and sausages accompanied by a side of rice.
As the saying goes, there is always room for dessert. If that is the case, you may order from a wide selection of desserts. This is not included in your Churrasco experience. However, we were celebrating a friend’s birthday so we chose the Crème Brûlée to share. The custard was delightful and creamy with a crunchy caramelized top.
So remember, whether you are there to celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, or to enjoy a night out, you will never leave Fogo de Chão hungry.
