Cookies & Smiles

The Cookie Element bakes fresh daily from scratch with only the highest quality ingredients.

Rumor has it that the enticing aroma of The Cookie Element’s freshly baked cookies can put a smile on your face in an instant. Nearly 30 flavors are baked fresh daily, made from scratch with only the highest quality ingredients.

Their secret to baking up batches of perfection? According to owners Amy and Michael Spillane, “Our recipes are a unique balance of time-tested nostalgic flavors with an infusion of modern robust flavor combinations and ingredients.”

Since its inception six years ago, The Cookie Element has become Yorba Linda’s go-to cookie shop, a result of hard work and dedication to serving delectable, one-of-a-kind cookies with exceptional customer service.

In 2018, The Cookie Element was recognized as Yorba Linda’s Business of the Year.

“With that honor comes a responsibility to the community that we take very seriously,” says Amy. “As parents, we have always stressed to our children that ‘to whom much is given much is expected,’ a personal core value that has become rooted in our family business.”

“As a locally owned small business, our responsibility goes beyond making delicious, fresh baked cookies,” she continues, noting that, “We’re a community partner to organizations working to positively impact local children and families.”

The Cookie Element’s commitment to the community includes literacy, first responders/military service members, and youth athletic programs.

To date, they’ve provided over 50,000 “Free Cookie” certificates to local libraries and schools to support education incentives.

Whether they’re doling out cookies or forming connections in the community, The Cookie Element truly treasures being a sweet spot in their customers’ day.

“What makes me happiest is when children choose The Cookie Element as their place to celebrate milestones or achievements,” Amy says. “Teams coming in after a win, kids requesting our cookies for their birthdays or celebrating a good grade always makes me smile—there’s nothing sweeter than knowing that we will be a part of their happy childhood memories.”

This fall, The Cookie Element is getting even sweeter. Located right next door, “The Lab” is an extension of The Cookie Element’s storefront, where customers can come in to take baking classes, throw baking parties, host private events, and more.
