Trevar Smooth Didn’t Move to Phoenix to Blend In.
He Came to Shake Things Up.
And he’s doing just that.
A multimedia artist, creative director, and founder of the Art Collective Council (ACC), Trevar is leading a cultural uprising in the Valley. With roots in L.A.'s surf, skate, and streetwear scene and a creative vision shaped by both West Coast and Miami aesthetics, Trevar arrived in Phoenix and immediately noticed a void.
"I went searching for what I had in mind but couldn’t find it. So I went out and created it," he says.
Trevar launched ACC to amplify fashion and contemporary pop-art in Phoenix, a direct response to the recycled cactus and hummingbird visuals dominating galleries and shows.
"There was an entire market missing here."
ACC is an exhibit-driven platform with fashion and art at its core fundraising through collectible art, signed items, and immersive fashion shows. The mission is clear: raise money, give back, and build experiences that matter.
“We’re tackling every avenue of art on display, but always with a purpose.”
His signature aesthetic is rebellious, nostalgic, and cinematic. Think neon color pops, iconic figures, and visual storytelling that feels more like a film than a painting. His ICONIC Collection, inspired by cultural legends like Mike Tyson and Kendrick Lamar, was a breakout hit.
"I want a movement that touches souls creatively."
Trevar is more than a painter; he’s a full-scale visual architect. He works across acrylic, spray paint, video production, digital illustration, and fashion design. His creative process is intense and deliberate.
"Sometimes I use five different software programs to create a single video. AI is a tool, but everything I make is handmade first."
His debut Valley moment? Showing work at Arizona Fashion Week in 2024 and giving away a painting on stage. That move led to Ryan from Guestlist inviting him to display his ICONIC collection… a domino effect that would eventually lead to Exhibit 1.0, which attracted nearly 500 guests and coverage across major platforms.
He's now Creative Director at fashion label Miratge, curating high-concept shows that fuse streetwear, pop culture, and tech-forward experiences. He also launched the first Art of Fast & Fashion, a multi-brand exhibit hosted at Lapin Motor Co. in partnership with Club Scottsdale, ACC, Arizona Trending, Opulence, and Paradise Valley City Lifestyle. The high-net-worth event saw registered VIPs like Ish Wainright and Reggie Crawford.
"All eyes are now on December’s Intergalactic Rockstar, an invite-only show inside a Scottsdale hangar, expected to draw a major turnout. Partners include Ryan (Guestlist) and Blvcksensei."
And there's more.
Trevar is designing a capsule collection for Club Scottsdale titled F1 Signature, a custom collaboration with owner Michael that also features signed Spike Lee art and original Andrew Bernstein photography prints.
“We can turn any space into a gallery.”
As for what's on his hopeful horizon?
“Art Basel. Paris Fashion Week. I also want ACC to be something we can take anywhere in the world."
He’s not here to follow trends. He’s here to set them.
"My goal is to push boundaries and make people feel uncomfortable in a good way. Like when you watch Batman; Gotham is nostalgic, but people love it. That’s the vibe."
