The Doctor Is In

Choosing a pediatrician in a place like Franklin can be a daunting task. With an abundance of practices to pick from and no shortage of opinions about who is the best, it can be confusing to even know where to start. But there is one pediatrician here who is dedicated to developing long-term relationships with patients and families alike while caring for their well-being and health. Meet Dr. Shashirekha Shetty at Franklin Pediatric Clinic.

"As a child, I was fascinated with biology, zoology, and botany. As I grew up I realized that medicine is considered a noble profession. I knew I wanted to do that and I knew I could do that," says Dr. Shetty.

Dr. Shetty attended Mysore Medical College in Mysore, India and did her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Yeshiva University) in New York, NY. She is an experienced, board-certified physician who has had an active practice for the last 14 years and has served the Nashville area since 2007.
Although much of her practice is focused on quality and evidence-based medicine, there is also something special about it. "I focus individual attention to each patient and family. Franklin Pediatric Clinic is not about chasing numbers. Each family gets the attention they deserve and desire. Kids are treated with patience and kindness. We have a very kid-friendly and loving team."

Dr. Shetty has a special interest in development pediatrics, autism, ADHD, and obesity/weight management. She has training in Neonatology from the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN and sees newborns at Williamson Medical Center. She is currently accepting new patients.
