Just under two hours from the heart of Nashville, tucked along the tranquil shores of Wilson Lake in north Alabama, a new vision for lakeside living is taking shape. Welcome to the Peninsula at Wilson Lake, where natural beauty, thoughtful design, and high-end amenities come together to create an experience that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
The Peninsula at Wilson Lake is more than just a place; it’s a lifestyle. Nestled within a beautiful gated community, this upcoming development redefines what it means to own a weekend lakehouse by seamlessly combining luxury with the serene beauty of nature. From gorgeous lakefront views to thoughtfully designed homes, the Peninsula offers an escape where peace, privacy, and convenience coexist.
Whether seeking solitude or a conveniently located lakehouse, this community offers the best of both worlds. The surrounding land provides a sense of calm and seclusion while still keeping residents within reach of modern-day amenities.
There will be no shortage of resort-style luxuries available. With plans to create a world-class fitness center, steam room, sauna, cold plunge, community activity centers, zip lines, and community boat docks, all of these activities are created to enhance the residents’ lifestyle and will be modified based on community feedback and development needs.
“It’s lake living that’s headache-free,” Developer Roger Brown says.
Not to mention, the prestigious Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club is conveniently located next door to the development. Turtle Point offers its members world-class golf, a marina, and family-centered activities, making it a fantastic addition to the Peninsula’s residents’ lifestyle. Just across the water is the Robert Trent Jones, Jr Golf trail, two 18-hole world-class courses within minutes of The Peninsula at Wilson Lake. “We challenge anyone to find a lakefront community that is minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores, that you can play 3 world-class golf courses and be on a body of water that only fluctuates 2.8 feet per year, not to mention the massive size of the lake,” Roger says. “This is one of the only family communities under two hours from Nashville.”
What sets the Peninsula apart isn’t just the views or the amenities, it’s the intention behind every detail. From the thought behind each homesite to the long-term community planning, every element has been crafted with care, ensuring residents enjoy not only scenic surroundings but a deep sense of connection, comfort, and quality. This isn’t just a place to stay for the weekend; it’s a place to belong.
Roger first acquired this gorgeous stretch of land - an impressive 115 acres – back in 2004. At the time, he had no idea just how the property would evolve. Now, Brown’s investment is transforming into something truly extraordinary.
“I fell in love with the land over 20 years ago,” Roger explains. “We bought the land. We didn't really know what to do with it. We thought about building our own personal house on it, and over that time, we found the right land planner and then the right engineers, and we created the Peninsula at Wilson Lake.”
With the first residents expected to move in by January 2027, development at Peninsula of Wilson Lake is already well underway, as the moving dirt started late August. The community is currently in Phase One, which includes the creation of 88 thoughtfully planned homesites. The goal was to sell 6 million lots prior to starting construction, and now we are past 11 million in sales. It has been overwhelming the response we have had to this family community.
The Peninsula at Wilson Lake is also a quick weekend trip from Nashville. "You can leave your house on Friday, pick up your kids after school at 3:00, be at your lake house by 5:00, and on the water by 5:30,” Roger points out. “Then on Sunday, you could hang out most of the day before driving home."
Anticipated to be completed in early 2027, Peninsula at Wilson Lake promises to be well worth the wait. For those with patience and vision, something truly special awaits, where unforgettable memories will be made, year after year.
