Finding the Balance Between Healthy and Indulgent

When thinking about the balance between healthy and indulgent, The Granola Bar seems to have found the perfect recipe. The Granola Bar approaches healthy eating by taking a look at how it relates to overall wellness. It is so important to have balance, which may include a salad one day and a sandwich the next.

In addition to promoting a balanced diet, The Granola Bar is dedicated to sourcing high-quality ingredients. They work with local vendors and bakeries to source their ingredients.

The first item on the menu we wanted to highlight was their classic avocado toast. They use fresh avocado and offer an amazing selection of toppings from eggs, to feta, to buffalo chicken. You can’t go wrong with the classic feta and red pepper flakes. You can always add an egg if you need the extra protein boost for a particularly busy day. Their bread is sourced from a local bakery and you have the option of multigrain, gluten-free, or paleo.

When you need something quick, a smoothie is always a good option. The Very Berry smoothie is made of strawberries, bananas, honey, greek yogurt, and milk. 

The second item we wanted to highlight is the buffalo chicken wrap. You can never go wrong with buffalo chicken but making simple swaps can make it a much healthier dish. They ditched the traditional roll or bun for a whole wheat wrap. They also added greens and tomatoes making the wrap healthier than your traditional buffalo chicken sandwich. This item is perfect for a quick lunch.

If you’re looking for something a little more filling, their Taco Bowl is a great option. This dish can make for a more filling lunch or an early dinner. The taco bowl has a base of cauliflower, black beans and sweet potato. They add pork carnitas, parm jalapeño sauce, and charred chipotle sauce. The finishing touch is the avocado and pickled onions. Each of the flavors complements each other and create the perfect blend. This a must-try dish and very unique to the Granola Bar.
