The Harvest at Frisco Commons is a new, communal space managed by Frisco city staffers that offers raised garden boxes for annual rental, as well as public education space for Frisco residents and volunteers. Gardeners may grow vegetables, fruits, herbs or flowers in their leased space. The Pollinator Ring surrounding the garden is planted with native/adaptive plants that provide numerous ecological benefits, including increased produce yields in the garden.

Gotten in on the grand opening special yet? "Groundbreaking Gardeners" receive an initial lease period through December 2022, which includes three additional months of gardening for free.

Small garden boxes can be rented for $75 per year, and large garden boxes can be secured for $150 annually. Frisco households are limited to one box each year; large boxes were still available at presstime.

To help the community garden flourish in a well-rounded manner, consider the following options:

  • Donate gardening supplies. These items can include healthy plants, seeds or garden tools.
  • Participate in Volunteer Work Days. Whether a student seeking volunteer hours or someone who simply enjoys gardening, help is always needed.
  • Organize a Special Service Project. Looking for a fun team-building activity for teams, civic organizations and corporate groups? Volunteering together makes positive impacts.

Gardeners are encouraged to donate surplus produce to support Frisco families in need, through an organization such as the Frisco Family Services Market.
