Playful, whimsical, cherished, adventurous, welcoming and warm describe homeowners Jennifer and Jack Sammons, and thanks to Designer Cameron Howell, their home is a perfect reflection of their personalities.
In the 25 years since the Sammons have called this house in the heart of Hedgemoor home, they have added (tripled the square footage), renovated (some planned, some not so much) and reimagined spaces to fit their fluid lifestyle. They have successfully raised two children, launched several political careers and entertained throngs of family and friends within these walls.
When discussing her approach to their recent kitchen renovation, Jennifer reflects that she was going through a particularly dark time while managing the care of her mother. "I wanted bright," Jennifer explains. The resulting seating area, where the business of the day is mapped out over coffee and debriefed over cocktails, is their daily dose of sunshine.
While the days of fancy fundraisers have given way to impromptu margaritas and Bocce out back, fine china, crystal and sterling silver are daily wares in the Sammons home. "Every day is a special occasion now. Living life post-pandemic is so precious," Jennifer says.
"Working with Jennifer and Jack is always a fun experience,” says Cameron who has worked with the couple for the better part of the last decade. “She wanted color when everyone else wanted beige, and she is never afraid to mix wild prints, bold hues and walk on the wild side."
"We love to laugh!” Jennifer says. “It is all done with a wink and a nod."
