Camarones Al Ajillo is a classic Mexican garlic shrimp recipe made with shrimp (fresh or frozen) and a simple garlic sauce that consists of simple ingredients: butter, olive oil, lots of fresh garlic, salt and pepper, and we are adding Tümüs salsa macha for a kick and more flavor (this is one of my favorite meals and this salsa pairs well with everything!) I love easy and healthy meals. This is one of my go-tos when I’m in a rush but I still want to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner! I love to serve this meal with grilled veggies, rice and tortillas or even over a salad. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Ingredients:
1 lb Shrimp ( peeled and deveined)
6 Garlic cloves
1 stick of Butter
1/3 cup olive oil
Salt and pepper
Tümü salsa macha
Directions:
Wash the shrimp. Peel and devein.
Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Set aside.
In a deep skillet add the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Careful not to burn the garlic!
Reduce to low heat. Add shrimp and cook for about 2 minute on each side
The shrimp should be pink and curled. That's how you know it is cooked! Add a few spoons of Salsa Macha to add more flavor.
Serve immediately. Enjoy!
