The Making of Silver Sky

Inside the Vision, Drive, and Detail Behind PV’s 12-Estate Community

Paradise Valley doesn’t often get something new. Which is why Silver Sky- a community of just twelve estates nestled against Mummy Mountain- is one of the most talked-about projects in Arizona. Visionary design, meticulous in execution, and crafted to stand the test of time, it’s the kind of development that only comes along once in a generation.

At the center of it is Arizona native Jeremy Takas, a builder in every sense of the word. His career began far from luxury homes, in 2007, when he co-founded Right Away Disposal with a single truck and a bold idea. Over the next decade, that idea grew into the largest privately owned waste and recycling provider in Arizona, employing more than 300 people and managing a fleet of more than 200 vehicles.

The rapid expansion didn’t just demand leadership- it demanded vision.

“We were growing so quickly that finding and building facilities became part of my job,” Jeremy recalls.

That necessity pulled him into industrial real estate, where he oversaw the development of landfills, transfer stations, and a cutting-edge recycling facility. By the time he sold the company in 2018, he had developed a reputation as a disciplined operator who paired blue-collar grit with boardroom-level precision.

“I’d study every detail of our operation, ask how it could be improved, and when I’d gone through every item, I’d start over.”

At first glance, the leap from hauling waste to crafting luxury estates may seem improbable. But in Jeremy’s world, the through-line is clear. Managing nearly 200 daily moving parts in a logistics operation isn’t far from orchestrating dozens of contractors, suppliers, and build phases in a $20 million home.

“In my former line of work, clients expected pickups every day without excuses. In luxury real estate, buyers expect the same; only now, the delivery is their dream home.”

That vision became clear when Jeremy encountered 18 untouched acres at the base of Mummy Mountain. Surrounded by some of PV’s most remarkable homes and blessed with rare stillness and sweeping views, it was a canvas of unparalleled possibility.

“We saw the chance to create something extraordinary; a community of twelve brand-new estates designed by the most talented architects, designers, and builders in the region. Silver Sky was envisioned for people who see a home as more than just a place to live; it’s a legacy.”

Long before construction began, Jeremy assembled a team of top engineers to study the site.

“At the base of Mummy Mountain, water flow can be unpredictable, and I wanted to ensure the community would stand resilient even in the rare event of a 100-year flood.”

As part of the infrastructure, advanced underground systems were strategically installed to safeguard both the natural beauty of the land and the long-term investments of every homeowner. Each homesite was also equipped with its own transformer to ensure steady, abundant power for decades to come, while fiber-optic lines were installed throughout to provide residents with the fastest communications technology available.

“Every decision was deliberate. We wanted to ensure that Silver Sky would be as functional as it is beautiful; not just today, but for generations.”

Today, Jeremy’s vision for Silver Sky is well underway. The opportunity to build a custom home within the community has completely sold out, with three end-user designs already in motion. What remains available are Silver Sky’s signature offerings- two award-winning showcase homes currently under construction. With four homes rising now and two more set to break ground before year’s end, the community is on track to be fully realized within the next two years.

“Silver Sky is more than a development; it’s a rare chapter in Paradise Valley’s story. Just twelve estates. No more, no less. When they’re gone, they’re gone.”
