Tom Martin and Lindsay Grider believe so much in what they’ve created, they will be the first couple to marry in their new venue.
“Your Event, Our Passion” is how they describe The Marquee at New Town: the perfect 300-person, 5,000-square-foot venue with indoor and outdoor options to host weddings, wedding receptions, showers, anniversaries, birthdays, corporate gatherings and a variety of other events for people of all ages.
“Guests of your event will be transported back in time as they bask in New Town’s charming atmosphere, adorned with restaurants, shops, tranquil canals, lakes, fountains and more,” Lindsay says.
Tom's background, influenced by his mother's career as a wedding planner, his father’s experience from a band that played for all types of events, and now his daughter's 10-plus years as a wedding photographer, reflects the family's rich history and passion in the field. One of 10 children, Tom says his mom gave him this advice, which he says he intends to use: “Deliver what you promise.”
“The Marquee at New Town is a blank canvas,” Tom, a 35-year veteran DJ, says. “It’s so easy to decorate to your liking. People come and say, ‘I feel like I’m in a Hallmark movie.' That’s exactly what you want for an event.”
Lindsay has 20-plus years of business experience in project management, providing her with the organizational and logistical skills essential for overseeing events.
“Our ultimate goal is to be a place where dreams are realized, creativity thrives, where the extraordinary is made accessible, where imaginations take flight and where shared memories and joy take center stage,” Lindsay says.
The Marquee is a one-stop shop offering an in-house DJ, preferred photographers, caterers, local florists and dress shops. Tom and Lindsay can coordinate every aspect of an event.
Amenities included in rental are tables and chairs, table linens, 20-by-20-foot parquet dance floor, prep kitchen, if catering is selected, restrooms, tent and outdoor patio space.
