These warm summer nights are perfect for catching a stunning sunset. We live amid suburbia, surrounded by homes, shopping centers, traffic and people out and about. It may be an unusual thought to sit back and watch the sunset. Do our busy days allow us to relax at dusk? Can we cancel out the noise and relish the peace, beauty and ease of a sunset? I’m here to tell you that you, without a doubt, can. Quite honestly, we live in a town filled with gorgeous sunset-watching spots.
One of our favorites is Battery Way Park on Lake Peachtree. It's a tranquil spot along the lake, with plenty to explore. This park is accessible by car and golf cart. While there, you can fish, walk the golf cart paths and enjoy the playground all before settling in for the show. Grab a blanket and find the perfect waterside spot.
Take A Picnic
Don’t go hungry while sunset-watching. You can fix that dilemma by picking up a dinner picnic from She Craft Co in Tyrone. Fayette County natives and She Craft Co owners, Adam and Lexy She, are serving up Asian American eats & treats. Sammies & Salad include a hot Korean Philly, bulgogi & brie quesadilla, crispy Brussels sprouts, a power green salad and dusted wonton chips.
