Connie C. Williams has been in the fitness industry for 40+ YEARS. Both as an industry leader and a business owner. She co-created step aerobics and in the 1980's she sold her business to Reebok. She is now as a business owner here in Brentwood and is an Assisted Stretching coach at The Power to Pause Studio.
Connie became passionate about stretching when she injured her hip. She fell while bowling. She knew she was in trouble when she could barely walk. The pain ran from her hip to her lower back, and it was agonizing pain.
For 6 weeks, she couldn't teach her weekly Barre and Step group exercise classes at the YMCA where she taught. She tired everything to alleviate her pain including acupuncture, massage & physical therapy. She did get some temporary relief but was still in extreme pain.
One day she decided to try using the “roller” stretching tool that her boys had given her. She found the results to be incredible. Within a week she felt like she was back to being herself.
After her experience she knew she had found her calling. She wanted to share her experience with others and help them live with less pain and more agility. Stretching was the answer to many problems that most of us experience as we grow older.

Stretching isn't just beneficial for the body but also for the mind. Stretching provides your mind with a mental break. It allows you to recharge and refresh the blood flow throughout your body, resulting in a calmer and more peaceful mindset. Many individuals carry stress in their muscles. When feeling overwhelmed, muscles tighten acting as a defensive strategy. The more you stretch, the less tense muscles will be. Stretching is a very effective form of stress management.
