The Pro Shop Newtown:

Welcome Back to Fitness Boutique, LUXEpsn, With New Arrivals

Literally rising up from water and smoke damage after a devastating fire above the store during March, Kathleen McCafferty, owner of LUXEpsn, says they are back in business and "ready to see customers, begin special events, build community gatherings and more."

While Kathleen admits it's been a very rough six months since the fire, she's held fall pop-up events as her team works diligently to set up their grand reopening date at their new location of 119 S. State St..

"We've been dealing with so many issues between insurance, managing losses, buying/finding new inventory, a temporary space and a build-out for a new location, and trying to build back the business. Most think that a fire would be something very easy to come back from, but that couldn't be farther from the truth," she assures.

Kathleen says the new space at 119 South State will be "home" until they get back to where they belong. It's just a block away from where the fitness boutique/sporting good store has been since 1993.

"We're extremely excited to get back to providing the area with the finest brands of fitness clothing and athleisure, as well as all accessories. We thrive by bringing the top clothing lines to Newtown so customers don't need to shop online," she adds.

At LUXEpsn, Kathleen says they have all sizes, from extra small to extra/extra large, so customers can see, feel and try on the attire before making final selections.

"We're stocked for the holidays," proclaims Kathleen. "We cater not only to women, but now men with the new addition of Vuori.  We offer 'The Dude List' where men can email me at kathleen@proshopnewtown.com, submit an inquiry on the website or stop in the shop, and I'll be happy to assist. All gifts are wrapped to perfection and photos are taken of what's in each box."

Kathleen reminds that they've had a full-service tennis pro shop since 1988, and she says that also continues with top brand racquets, footwear, racquets and the new favorite Pickleball.

"We have big ideas for the new space," she says.
