The ProLon Fasting Mimicking Diet®

If you've watched The Goop Lab on Netflix, the diet might sound familiar to you. Gwyneth Paltrow tried it and documented her experience in one episode. It's a five-day fast mimicking program that includes plant-based meals. Each day is cutely packaged and must be taken in order. There is no swapping meals between boxes. The goal is the cleanse is to nourish your body and support healthy levels of metabolic markers, cellular rejuvenation and healthy aging!

ProLon® is a 5-day dietary program that nourishes your body while promoting rejuvenating changes, including supporting metabolic balance. Here at Greenwich Lifestyle, we did it and here is how it went.

Each day, you’ll have an almond butter bar for breakfast, a plant-based soup for lunch (tomato or mushroom), and another veggie soup for dinner (minestrone or quinoa mix). There are snacks throughout (olives and kale crackers). And some nights, there’s a Chocolate Crisp bar after dinner. By the end of the second day, the chocolate crisp bar was something we longed for (it’s not that sweet— it's just a special treat). The cleanse also includes herbal teas, supplements, and an energy drink that you add to water (based on your weight). Foodies might say that eating powdered soup for 5 days is dreadful, but we'll do it for the instagram content.
