What makes this real estate team unique?
We [owners Eddie, Tracy and John] made the investment in our business and developed a successfully efficient back office so that our agents can have a balanced work and family life. We are not just interested in selling homes; we are committed to making it a better place to live through community involvement.
How do you make Smyrna a better place to live?
We all live here and volunteer in some capacity in Smyrna. This past Christmas, we adopted 10 families that were in need. We volunteer at Path to Shine as well as Vision Rehabilitation Services. We worked with Must Ministries to make more than 600 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to give to children to ensure they would have meals while not in school. We are currently brainstorming ways to encourage our teachers. They do so much for our children; we just want them to feel appreciated. We also volunteer at our local churches in Smyrna.
Why did you decide to base your business in Smyrna?
Smyrna is such a great place to live. It's got a wonderful small-town feel. It's close to downtown, the airport and has tons of walkability opportunities. The house we are sitting in is a stone's throw from Village Green, a beautiful park, restaurants and the City of Smyrna campus. We believe "development" is finally catching up with Smyrna. SunTrust Park is in full swing, Belmont Village expanded again, and the new Publix shopping center at Jonquil is gorgeous.
Tell us about this beautiful home.
This newly constructed home is under contract for $650,000. We like to call this "modern craftsman." It boasts heavy wood detailing using shiplap in main living areas and butcher block accents in the kitchen. There are beautiful hardwood floors throughout, along with the beadboard ceiling above the dining room table helps make this home very cozy. Our "fur children" are such a huge part of the family, so we love the unique features like the indoor doghouse and the dog washing shower in the mudroom. All bedrooms feature oversized closets, and bathroom doors have beautiful barn doors instead of traditional doors. Lastly, the kitchen is fresh and modern. The pot filler over the stove is the best idea of all.
