The 5th annual Love From Music City Gala was held at the Estate at Cherokee Dock in Lebanon on Tuesday, Oct. 5. The event served as a fundraiser for Love From Music City, which has helped feed and clothe orphans locally and around the world for over 50 years.
Dozens of dignitaries attended the gala, which included live entertainment, a silent auction, dining and more. Featured performers included T. Graham Brown, Marty Raybon, Buddy Jewell, Charlene Tilton, Cherish Lee and Grand Ole Opry members Crystal Gayle and Pam Tillis. The event was emceed by Jeff Hawkins.
Along with the live music, the evening’s activities also included several special presentations. The highlight of the evening occurred when Crystal Gayle was presented with the prestigious Bill Anderson Icon Award in recognition of her community service and her Grammy award-winning musical career.
“I have been a fan of Crystal Gayle forever,” says Shanda Tripp, co-director of Love From Music City. “To think we get to honor her as our Bill Anderson Icon winner this year is amazing. She is a trailblazer for women and a true inspiration to me personally.”
