Decorated sugar cookies are more than sweet treats — they are a way to create joyful (and delicious) memories.

Jaquelyn Rushing knows this firsthand. She recalls loving themed sugar cookies as a child and gravitating toward them at parties. When her son turned one, she tried her hand at creating the nostalgic, creative treats she loved so much.

Jaquelyn says, “Creating that first set awakened something in me creatively, and I haven’t put down my piping bag since.”

She took a leap and committed to running her business full-time: Sugar Rush Cookie Co., specializing in custom-decorated sugar cookies for all of life’s sweetest occasions. Her decision was influenced by “realizing just how much joy it brought me—and others.”

Not only does Jaquelyn help elevate events with meticulously designed custom cookies, but she is also sharing her knowledge through decorating classes.

The best part? The classes are suited for all experience levels and occasions.

Jaquelyn takes care of the hard work by providing her signature almond vanilla sugar cookies and royal icing so class participants can focus on honing their decorative style and making priceless memories.

She assures, “My classes are designed for everyone—from complete beginners to those looking to sharpen their decorating skills. Cookie decorating is just like any other art form: the more you practice, the more confident you become.”

Classes range from one to two hours depending on how many cookies there are to decorate and can be customized for the occasion. Jaquelyn says, “Whether you’re planning a girls’ night, birthday party, bridal shower, corporate event, or simply looking for a fun experience with friends, I’d love to bring the cookie decorating fun to you.”

Sugar Rush hosts monthly cooking classes at varying locations. This month, there is a scheduled class at Hammer & Stain in Mt. Juliet, and she will offer at least two Halloween-themed classes in October.

Jaquelyn says, “Fall is one of my favorite seasons for cookie decorating, and Halloween classes are always full of creativity and fun.”

Sugar Rush continues to offer custom bakes that will elevate the style and sweetness of any event. While she is based in Wilson County, she is happy to serve the surrounding Middle Tennessee communities through her personalized cookies and private cookie decorating classes.
