We’ve never spent as much time at home as we have the past 16 months. I had the itch to get away and relax in a new setting. My husband must have felt the same way, because it was surprisingly easy to convince him that a family vacation was long overdue. After reading several reviews and exploring various options, we ultimately decided to head to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. We wanted a hotel where our children could partake in activities and everyone would have a blast making memories and having fun in the sun.
Four Seasons Resort Orlando recently unveiled updated guest rooms and suites, and with a fresh look and Lead With Care health and safety measures in place, the Resort remains Central Florida’s No. 1 luxury resort and a coveted family vacation destination. With a view of the gorgeous landscaping, our connecting rooms were the perfect layout for our family of six.
As soon as we arrived at the Resort my children were eager to put on their swimsuits and make their way to the five-acre water park, which included loungers and daybed seating areas around the pools and lush landscaping enveloping the lazy river. The attentive pool servers were absolutely phenomenal. They laid our towels out for us, brought over sunblock and made sure we always had a pitcher of cold water available. My husband and I kept looking at each other and talking about how wonderful the staff was. We were all certainly living our best lives.
After a nice lunch by the pool, our children apprehensively agreed to try the Kids For All Seasons kids camp. I promised them that I would check in on them after an hour and if they weren’t having fun that they could go back to the pool. Unsurprisingly, when I showed up an hour later they shooed me away. They were having the time of their lives and there was no way they were leaving. The counselors were so fun and engaging, even when my 4-year-old daughter put their patience to the test. For the rest of the trip my girls were waiting outside the door for camp to open in the morning and needed to be dragged out at meal times.
The camp program offers a complimentary, daily supervised kids camp with a variety of creative activities for ages 4 to 12. Kids For All Seasons offers entertainment, such as sandcastle building, water play, Mario Kart competitions, spin art crafts, lazy river boat races, hula hooping contests, balloon artistry and much more. While our kids were fully entertained, my husband and I had a chance to recharge our batteries by the adult-only pool. The peaceful Oasis pool, for adults 21 and older, is a lakeside pool surrounded by palm trees and white cabanas.
One of the highlights of our trip was taking our girls to the Resort’s own on-site character breakfast, The Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & His Pals, offered on Saturdays and select Thursdays at Ravello restaurant. While we decided to opt out of going to Disney this go-around, many of the other guests we spoke with took advantage of the complimentary transportation to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Resort’s lobby-level Disney Planning Center serves as a full-service Disney concierge to assist guests with all their Disney needs, including theme park tickets, dining reservations, reserving a VIP Tour and more.
Thinking of planning a Florida getaway? It’s the perfect time to visit because through September 30, 2021, the Resort’s Stay Longer–Fourth Night Free Offer is available. In addition, numerous value-added inclusions are available for guests of the Resort, including children ages 5 and younger dine free with a paid adult in Resort restaurants; complimentary access to the fitness center and spa relaxation areas; complimentary transportation to the four main Disney Parks; and complimentary kids camp offered daily for ages 4 and older.
Our girls are already begging to go back, so I’m sure we’ll be taking advantage of the special on another trip sometime soon!
