Committed to Expansion

Move Fitness finds the courage to expand their gym and support their members.

Expanding and remodeling in the same month social distancing was mandated in California was one courageous move. Although the timing may have appeared unfortunate, owners Sara and Rob Willis were there when people really needed a positive voice for staying healthy during the stay at home period. Not missing a beat, the fitness gurus promptly assembled sanitized at-home workout kits for clients to pick up and utilized a private Facebook page to post daily workouts for their members.

Seeing the downtime as an opportunity rather than a setback, Rob and Sara completed their remodel to set a new standard for gyms in Anaheim Hills. In addition to small group and personal training, they now offer limited general membership and therapeutic massage and bodywork services, guaranteed to be less crowded and cleaner than any other local gym.

As a personal fitness trainer, Rob’s philosophy is that person to person connection is really the best way to get results the whole family can get behind. With thoughts of Father’s Day, Rob recalls his father bringing his grandfather and great-grandfather along to his football games to cheer him on. “Almost everyone we talk to that comes into the gym has family-related goals like hiking with the grandkids, or to be a good healthy influence for their children.”

Rob says the support he receives from both his father and father-in-law is tremendous. “They were both there to help us out in whatever way they could, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. They always show up for me, and they inspire me to be a supportive force in the lives of all my clients that they may not have at home, something you cannot get from a mega-gym.”

As more people practice safe fitness models, Rob Willis believes strongly that the future of the fitness industry will emphasize results over mass numbers. “We will continue to follow our motto of "Move with a Purpose" and give our clients the best programs that are not risking their joints for no purpose. If you don’t need to lift 300 pounds off the ground then I won’t ever ask you to. I help you set a goal and establish a routine to make you the healthiest version of you.”
