Dylan Ritter, co-owner of CertaPro Painters of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, says he and his wife/co-owner, Scout Turner, continually strive to be the most trusted and referred painting business in Nashville. Originally from Murfreesboro, they now live in Franklin with their two dogs, Whitley and Cash. They provide both exterior and interior services for homeowners, commercial buildings and churches.
Dylan says both he and Scout grew up in small business with a heavy focus on customer service. "Creating extraordinary experiences, delivering on what is promised, and taking pride in doing so is what we strive for," he adds.
Brentwood Lifestyle caught up with Dylan to gather insight into their business just as he and Scout were leaning into scheduling jobs for the upcoming summer months.
WHY DO YOU BELIEVE CUSTOMERS TRUST YOUR PAINTING COMPANY OVER OTHERS?
Our lifelong customers, and new customers, trust CertaPro Painters for several reasons, including our professionalism, certainty service system, warranty, but most importantly, all of our customers know we care as if every project is our own home or business that’s being painted.
HOW DO YOU ENSURE CUSTOMERS GET EXACTLY WHAT THEY'RE ENVISIONING AS IT RELATES TO FRESHENING OR TRANSFORMING THEIR HOMES OR BUSINESSES?
From the initial contact with our team, it’s very evident we only want the customer to tell their story once. We specialize in capturing the important details that make the process enjoyable. Detailed printed proposals capture exactly what we promise to the customer with expectations. We strive for excellence and clarity.
WHAT COLORS ARE MOST POPULAR, OR COMBINATION PAINT TRENDS ARE OCCURRING LOCALLY THIS YEAR?
There are so many different paint color trends and designs that make the final result absolutely beautiful. From new sage greens to soft whites, darker accents, and different looks for simplicity or extravagance; we approach each project with an understanding that we'll capture exactly what's desired.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE COLOR CONSULTATIONS, AND WHY ARE THOSE IMPORTANT?
At the end of a project, we want to see a huge smile on customers' faces. We want to see everything come together, and it starts with a lot of initial efforts being creative and not afraid to try several different ideas. Then, we use our experience to help the customer make a decision so it never becomes overwhelming.
DO YOU HAVE OPTIONS IN PLACE FOR WHEN RUSH JOBS ARE REQUESTED?
We have done several projects the day before a party has started, a meeting was going to be held, or emergencies. We have the capacity to do jobs in less than 24 hours of a customer reaching out.
ARE THERE ANY CHARITIES YOU ENJOY SUPPORTING? ANY VOLUNTEER PROJECTS THAT YOU PERFORM AS A TEAM?
CertaPro Painters is very involved in the community with schools, churches, Nashville Panhellenic scholarship fund, CASA Nashville, and Vanderbilt Firefly Program, among others. Giving back to the community is something we strive to do, especially because the community supports us so greatly.
AS A DOG-DAD, ANY SPECIAL FATHER'S DAY PLANS COMING UP?
As a dog dad, we'll be celebrating by going to the puppy park, snuggles on the couch and lots of treatos!
