Time Travel in Muskogee

Intrigue, mythical creatures, and entertainment

Every weekend, from April 29th through June 4th, journey to 1569 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth 1 at The Castle of Muskogee’s Renaissance Festival located at 3400 W. Fern Mountain Road. Join the celebration as Elizabeth 1 entertains royal guests from Avalon, France, Spain, Scotland, Rome, and the Spice Roads.

April 29th - 30th is a Fantasy weekend with a visit from King Oberon of Avalon. To bridge his realm of fantasy with ours, he hopes to court her Royal Majesty. Everyone is encouraged to join the whimsical celebration of Oberon's pilgrimage. Faeries and other mythical creatures may show themselves during this opening weekend of the festival.

May 6th - 7th is Romance weekend with a visit from King Henri of France. He’s the son of the Contessa De Medici, has ties to Italy, but is French at heart. He visits to steal the heart of her Majesty, and all of the ladies of Castleton. This entire weekend is about love and kindness toward all with The Masque Ball held on Saturday evening.

May 13th -14th the Spanish Armada arrives as Her Majesty hosts King Phillip of Spain, bringing an invasion of pirates, privateers and scallywags. All of Castleton is invited to don their best buccaneer attire. This is also the weekend of the very popular Pirate's Feaste, so book your seats now.

May 20th - 21st, one of Castleton's dearest and closest of friends, Queen Mary of Scotland visits the festival. We adore our Scottish heritage, so it is of no surprise this weekend is rowdy and full of activities. Don your clan and press your kilts for Celtic festivities.

May 27th -29th we raise our steins for the arrival of his Imperial Majesty Charles II of the Holy Roman Empire. This is a three-day celebration over Memorial Day Weekend. Queen Elizabeth is delighted to secure this alliance, so we look forward to a beautiful weekend of Oktoberfest level fun. Monday is the Memorial Day Parade, an event not to be missed. In honor of those who have fallen, this festival staple provides a day of reverence in honor of our soldiers, beautiful photo ops and an emotional occasion unlike any other of the festival.

June 3rd - 4th brings the flare of The Spice Roads with the arrival of the Sultan of the Solomon Empire, King Omari. His alliance would mean wealth, commerce and further opportunities. In honor of his visit, we encourage breaking tradition and celebrating our closing weekend in a big way.

Tea is held each festival day at 2 pm featuring weekly specials of sandwiches, desserts and festive brews.
