January’s wine of the month

While the phrase “healthy wine” might make you pucker in anticipation of something overly dry, the bright, refreshing Elizabeth Spencer Chardonnay has a balanced flavor, yet less sugar, according to Classic Wine Company owner Josh Terrell.

Elizabeth Spencer Chardonnay features fruits from Mendocino, California and is fermented and aged in stainless steel, plus American oak barrels. The resulting wine is organic and dry (but not too dry) and is priced at $22.99 per bottle. Lush with the tempting aromas of tropical fruits and offering creamy texture on the middle palate, you’ll experience a bright acidity and elegant, lengthy finish.

Terrell suggests serving the Elizabeth Spencer Chardonnay slightly less cold than your refrigerator temperature and pairing a glass with delicate appetizers and seafood dishes. Happy 2023!
