From the outside, Optimum Health doesn’t scream “clinic.” And that’s exactly the point. Inside the doors of this private, boutique wellness destination on the Inver Grove Heights–Eagan border, patients are greeted not with a waiting room full of strangers, but with serene spaces designed for individualized care and total privacy.
Dr. Danny Pietruszewski opened Optimum Health in December 2024 after finishing chiropractic school and returning home to the Twin Cities. A South St. Paul native and former St. John’s University football player, Dr. Danny had always wanted to own his own practice.
“I saw someone do it right out of school, and I thought, why not me?” he says.
After a full remodel of the clinic’s interior with the help of an architect and contractor, he launched his vision: a one-stop shop for luxury, science-backed wellness with a personalized touch.
Today, Optimum Health is staffed by both Dr. Danny and his colleague, Dr. Matt Cady, a fellow chiropractor and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Together, they bring a functional medicine mindset to a clinic that’s as much about proactive health as it is about recovery.
Inside the Clinic
Optimum Health splits its services between recovery therapies and provider care. And clients love that they don’t have to choose; everything can be blended to match individual goals.
Recovery Services
- Private traditional Finnish and infrared sauna rooms
- LED light therapy bed
- Pulse PEMF therapy
- Normatec compression booths
- Cold plunge experiences
Every recovery room is private, with space for friends or family to join you. Guests even receive a discount, making wellness a shared, enjoyable part of your week. The clinic provides everything: towels, shampoo, and conditioner. All you need is a swimsuit.
Provider Care
- Functional medicine
- Chiropractic care
- Rehab and performance training
- Wellness diagnostics and testing
- Nutritional counseling and supplements
- Auto accident recovery
Functional medicine, in particular, makes Optimum a bit different than other wellness centers in the Twin Cities. Clients aged 40 to 60 often turn here after traditional medicine leaves them with more questions than answers. Whether it’s hormonal changes, gut health, fatigue, or unexplained symptoms, Optimum Health gets deep into diagnostics, looking at 95+ health markers, hormone levels, and gut health data to create customized protocols that may include lifestyle changes, supplementation, physical therapy, and nutrition.
Athlete-Centered Services
While Optimum Health has become a destination for adults focused on longevity and prevention, its roots in athletics run deep. Dr. Danny and Dr. Matt have both played competitive sports, and their clinic now supports top-level athletes, including NFL players, UFC fighters, Division 1 athletes, and local high school stars.
What’s unique? High school athletes have access to the same cutting-edge therapies the pros use.
“We love helping young athletes recover, train, and take care of their bodies in smarter ways,” Dr. Danny says. “We’re giving them access to the same technology and therapies professionals are using.”
This includes chiropractic adjustments, performance training, injury rehab, and a suite of recovery tools designed to support ongoing athletic development.
A Boutique Approach to Wellness
One of the most defining aspects of Optimum Health is its focus on privacy and luxury. With only one location in Inver Grove Heights, the clinic limits the number of clients at any given time, providing a calm, unrushed atmosphere.
“Some people don’t even realize how much they need that privacy,” says Dr. Danny. “We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel like they’re our only client that day.”
It’s not a gimmick. It’s a lifestyle approach to care. From private sauna rooms to the educational way Dr. Danny and Dr. Matt talk through every step of a client’s health plan, the focus is on giving people space to heal, grow, and feel empowered in their health journey.
Looking Ahead
With its one-year anniversary come and gone just last month, Optimum Health is growing, but not in a mass-market way. The team is committed to maintaining its boutique feel while continuing to serve its two core demographics: peak-performing athletes and adults looking to feel better, longer.
“I moved to Mendota Heights because I wanted to stay close to the community I grew up in,” says Dr. Danny. “Optimum Health may be in Inver Grove Heights, but we serve clients from all over, including Eagan, Mendota Heights, South St. Paul, and beyond. This is about giving our broader community a private, personalized way to invest in their health.”
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, trying to outpace burnout, or simply want to feel better in your body, Optimum Health may be the destination you didn’t know you needed.
“Whether you’re a pro athlete or a parent chasing longevity, we help you feel your absolute best.”
