TRAIN

Calling All Fans, Back on the Road

Pat Monahan is a name that rings bells for fans all around the world. Multi-Grammy, award-winning, diamond-selling band TRAIN is hitting the road for a new adventure with a co-headlining Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour with REO Speedwagon. The lead singer and front man for the band took the time to share a candid conversation about where the band has been and where it’s going.

“We’ve been writing a lot of new music and we’re excited to share our newest single “Long Yellow Dress,” with our fans. It’s a song about relationships and the memories that are frozen in time, in a moment, in our minds. It’s something most everyone can relate to, and we really think our fans will like it.”

The Summer Road Trip 2024 Tour that is produced by Live Nation will kick off on July 8, in Somerset, WI making stops throughout the nation, with a performance scheduled at The Wharf on August 23, 2024, wrapping up on September 11 in Phoenix, AZ.

Train will have all their fans' favorite hits ranging from “Drops of Jupiter,” “Calling All Angels,” & “Hey Soul Sister.” Pat says “We actually got our big break in Birmingham, AL. We were slated to play in New Orleans and were pushing “Drops of Jupiter” when a hurricane hit in the early 90s, which meant we weren’t able to make the performance and instead performed at Reg’s Coffee Shop. From there the song began to grow and here we are now.”

When asked about the evolution of music and how it’s changed since their debut, he says “When we started, it was CDs that everyone was going out to purchase, then it went to MP3, Streaming, etc. Now, new performers are coming on the scene through platforms like social media. It’s great.”

With more than 50 million albums sold worldwide, 32 songs on Billboard’s Hot 100, and 28 albums on the Billboard 200 albums chart between Train and REO Speedwagon, fans all across the nation will have a chance to witness a once-in-a-lifetime event of two of the hardest-working, fun-loving, non-stop touring bands as they perform hours of hits featuring the chart-topping anthems and timeless fan favorites.

The band has also recently recorded a live album from London’s prestigious Royal Albert Hall which is set for release in June. Known for their iconic album Save Me, San Francisco fans will also be celebrating its 15th anniversary in October.

When frontman, Pat Monahan isn’t making music, he is working on ventures that are passion projects benefiting others. His winning wine portfolio, Save Me, San Francisco Wine Co. was created in 2011, selling over 10 million bottles and winning over 100 awards. The proceeds from his venture support Family House, a San Francisco charity that supports families of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.

Pat has also dabbled in television and film, with appearances in the 2021 Hallmark Channel original movie, Christmas in Tahoe, inspired by Train’s album of the same name, which he executive produced and starred, Dr. Ken, 90210, CBS’s Hawaii Five-O and Magnum P.I., The Voice, American Idol, and The Bachelor.

One thing’s for certain and two things are for sure, fans all along the Gulf Coast will be making waves to get within ear’s reach to listen to the nostalgic sounds of the iconic band Train. We can’t wait to welcome them to our hometown and share their celebration!

See you there,
