After being a personal trainer for several years, founder Dean Dexter dove into educating himself about multiple therapy modalities. While he understood the importance of eating right, lifting weights and frequent exercise, he began to consider that there might be more to living a well-rounded truly healthy lifestyle. He spent the next 30 years delving more deeply into understanding various therapies such as Active Release Technique, Neuro Therapy, Traditional Manual Therapies and realizing that treatment needs to be individualized.
Combining the years of training experience, education and a deep desire to help people feel better in every aspect of their lives, Dexter moved his focus to the physical therapy aspect alone and developed a unique approach to truly helping people live better. This came in the form of opening Pro Fit here in Temecula.
“The work I do now is phenomenal,” says Dexter, citing his clients' desire to get better as a major motivator. "Without the inner drive, none of this happens and it's a struggle to heal."
ProFit specializes in correcting the symptomatic causes of pain, muscle injury, nerve disorders, and spinal-related conditions.

Pro Fit's goal is helping clients achieve a pain-free life through innovative and non-invasive therapies. These include red light and Soft Wave therapy, which uses patented technology to promote healing at the cellular level, improve blood supply, and initiate the body’s natural healing process.

When assessing a client, Pro Fit utilizes a four step process. First, an initial assessment followed by an individualized treatment plan. Then, therapy sessions are scheduled that are usually 10-15 minutes in length. During this time, shockwave treatments are delivered to the targeted area. Finally, a follow up and adjustment evaluation. Everything Pro Fit does is customized to each client, constantly evaluating effectiveness and modifying if necessary.
