Local Celina couple, Kelly and Gavin George, fell in love with Broken Bow and they are now the owners of three beautiful rental cabins. Kelly shares with us what led them to make Broken Bow their second home and a place to invest in their dreams.
When asked what made them choose Broken Bow, Kelly tells us “to be honest with you we didn’t 'choose' Broken Bow, Broken Bow chose us. During Covid, our neighbor at the time asked us if we wanted to go to their cabin in Broken Bow. The drive up there was amazing and when we got into the town, we immediately fell in love. The greenery reminded us of Tennessee, where we previously lived. It also reminded us of a small town in California called Big Bear. It was at this moment we knew this was our “happy place". Gavin and I felt at home and were able to disconnect and unwind, yet still have fabulous escapes and restaurants if we wanted to leave the cabin. It’s also the best place to chill out and grill out on the back decks that overlook the 80-foot pine trees. This was the moment we knew we wanted to build and design a cabin. While we can’t yet be up there full-time, we want to offer other families the same peace and adventure that we have there.” Kelly adds that with every reservation, they like to give back. They have humbly raised over $25,000 for Christian charities that help children succeed. The Georges' believe that when "God blesses them, they bless others."
The Cabins
Humble Beginnings: Modern Farmhouse family cabin that is nestled in the 80 ft pines and sits on nearly 1.25 acres. Two private master suites, two full bathrooms, and one-half bath. It has three private king master bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a fun bunk room with four twin beds. Simplicity has the most amazing breezeway that is perfect for any kind of weather.
The Silo: Modern chic farmhouse style cabin that sits atop a hill and provides "sigh-worthy" views of the mountain ranges. This cabin offers three master suites that Kelly designed to reflect each of the states they have lived in; California Dreamin’, Tennessee Whisky and Don’t Mess with Texas. A separate bunk room with six twin bunks is the perfect place for the kids to spread out. The Silo has a huge back deck with a large outdoor dining area with a gas fireplace. We can’t forget the private spa that is nestled into the pines that also leads you to another outdoor fire pit.
Whether your vacation goals include adventure and activities or relaxation and rest, Broken Bow has something to offer everyone in every season. In warmer months there is boating, swimming and other water sports. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast and want to get out into nature, there are more than a dozen hiking trails within a twenty-mile radius of Broken Bow. For the colder months, visit the local breweries, try trout fishing, or just grab your favorite board games and enjoy a cozy day the beautiful cabins.
