Tucked into Birmingham’s Triangle District, nové has become a destination for precision cutting, personalized color and modern hair. Founded by owner Cece Lawton and managing partner Kristyn Ren in 2023, the salon operates as a collective of 14 stylists united by a shared commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship and an understated luxury aesthetic.
“I think people come to nové because it feels welcoming from the moment they walk in,“ Lawton says. “We wanted to create a bright, modern space where everyone feels comfortable, relaxed and genuinely taken care of.“
That approachability, paired with a focus on delivering trending, easy-to-wear personalized results, is what sets the salon apart: a focus on atmosphere and connection. Rather than leaning on a formal mission statement, the nové team lets that philosophy show up in the details — an unhurried consultation, a genuine conversation about lifestyle and hair goals, and a finished look that feels less like a trend and more like a client truly seen. It’s an approach that has helped the salon build a loyal following in a short amount of time, with clients returning not just for the technical skill, but for the experience itself.
As a Davines Exclusive Salon, nové’s colorists work exclusively with the Italian haircare line, chosen for its performance, longevity and commitment to healthy hair. That partnership extends beyond the color bar, informing everything from in-salon treatments to the retail shelf, where clients can find the same professional-grade products used behind the chair.
The salon’s Boutique rounds out the experience with a curated selection of seasonal fashion finds — jewelry, gifts and clothing sourced from a mix of local artisans and fashion labels. It’s a natural extension of the salon’s broader philosophy: a space where beauty and personal style are treated as one continuous idea, not separate errands. Guests often find themselves lingering after an appointment, browsing the boutique’s rotating edit of pieces before heading back out into the Triangle District.
Autumn Refined | Fall 2026
For Fall 2026, the artists at nové created a collection inspired by rich tones, soft texture and understated sophistication — reflecting the season’s shift toward lived-in luxury. Fashion stylist Saxon Lawton paired each model’s look with pieces from the nové Boutique’s fall collection, polishing each artist’s vision from head to toe and reinforcing the salon’s belief that hair and style go hand in hand. Together, the three looks capture where nové sees hair heading this season: less about chasing every trend, more about finding a shape and color that feel inevitable on the person wearing them — proof that at nové, craftsmanship and connection are always working in tandem.
