Charity’s Plumbing Solutions was founded with a mission to bring integrity, quality craftsmanship, and a customer-first approach to the plumbing industry. Charity, the heart behind the company, saw an opportunity to change the industry for the better—one honest service call at a time. With a passion for helping homeowners, she envisioned a business where people could trust their plumbing professionals to offer solutions, not just sales.
She was particularly inspired by the growing number of single women homeowners and widows in Arizona. "I wanted women to have an option when inviting someone into their home—someone they could trust to provide quality service with honesty and respect," she shares. Her personal experiences as a homeowner also motivated her. After owning five homes over two decades, she noticed a decline in craftsmanship and felt compelled to restore pride in the trade.
At Charity’s Plumbing Solutions, the focus is on education and transparency. "Knowledge is power, and educating our clients is always a priority. When homeowners understand the ‘how’ and ‘why,’ they feel more confident in their decisions," Charity explains. Instead of pushing unnecessary work, her team provides clear explanations and long-term solutions, ensuring customers have the information they need to plan for their home’s future.
For Charity, the most rewarding part of running her business is hearing from clients who appreciate the difference. "When people tell us they’ve never had service like ours before, I know we’re on the right track," she says. It’s this commitment to exceptional service that has helped Charity’s Plumbing Solutions grow so quickly—by 220% from 2023 to 2024.
Beyond plumbing, Charity is deeply invested in her community. She believes small businesses have the power to make a meaningful impact. "Being a plumber is a respected trade; civilization has thrived because of it," she says. To inspire the next generation, she encourages young people to consider a career in the trades, emphasizing the rewarding nature of working with one’s hands and creating something of lasting value.
Through Charity’s Plumbing Solutions, she organizes two major community events annually—the Laveen and South Mountain Community Picnic and Laveen Splash. "Growing up, I loved community events. They brought people together, and I wanted to bring that same joy back to our neighborhoods," she explains. These free events welcome thousands of attendees and have sparked a movement, inspiring other businesses to contribute to their communities as well.
Her dedication to giving back extends beyond events. Charity’s Plumbing Solutions has sponsored the Betty H. Fairfax International Baccalaureate graduation ceremony for three years and awarded $12,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors. "You can’t take money with you, but you can change lives with it," Charity says. She has also committed to donating 10% of her business profits to community initiatives, ensuring that her company’s success benefits others.
Balancing a thriving business with family life is no small feat, but Charity embraces the challenge. "My family is my biggest cheerleading squad. Seeing my journey has inspired three of my five children to start their own businesses," she shares proudly. Her six- and nine-year-olds are set to launch their ventures in 2025, while her 19-year-old plans to do so after college. "Teaching my kids the value of hard work and the joy of entrepreneurship has been an unexpected bonus of this journey."
A fun fact about Charity? She once played Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby under the name 'Loca Tortura.' "It was so much fun, and I was in the best shape of my life!" she laughs. She’s also fluent in American Sign Language, which she sees as another way to connect with her community.
When it comes to home plumbing, Charity offers some valuable tips to homeowners. "Regular maintenance can save you thousands in potential damage. Simple things like checking for leaks, making sure your water heater is flushed annually, and avoiding harsh chemical drain cleaners can extend the life of your plumbing system." She also stresses the importance of water quality. "Many homeowners don’t realize how much minerals and contaminants in water can affect their pipes and appliances. Investing in a good filtration system can make a big difference."
Her advice to young people considering a trade career is simple: "Just do it. The world needs skilled tradespeople, and the opportunities are endless. Tradespeople often earn more than college graduates right out of school, and the work is incredibly fulfilling. If you’re interested, shadow a professional, visit a trade school, and see where your passion lies."
