Strategic Staffing Solutions Turkey Trot
A holiday tradition in Detroit for 40 years, participants can choose distances ranging from 1 mile to 10K. A fun event where many of the participants dress in costume, the races are a great way to start off Thanksgiving Day right! Races begin at 7:30 AM on Thursday, November 23, followed by America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Race supports the Michigan Humane Society and the care of the horses at the Detroit Mounted Police Division.

The Mighty Gobbler
Happening on Thanksgiving Day, The Mighty Gobbler in Troy at Lutheran Church of the Master offers a 1-mile run/walk and a 5K option, with races beginning at 8:30 AM. Make room for pie by getting out with the family and starting your holiday with some fresh air and exercise together! Finisher medals for all participants. The Mighty Gobbler offers an opportunity to give back by bringing donations of canned goods for Troy People Concerned.

Gobber Gallop
Want to work off your holiday meal? Downtown Milford offers the Gobbler Gallop on Saturday, November 25, beginning at 8:00 AM. Races include a 1-mile and 4-mile option, or if you like, you can do both! The course offers a mix of downtown Milford streets and a section on the beautiful Milford Trail. Following the races is Milford’s annual Holiday Parade, with floats, bands, and even a visit from Santa Claus!
