Turnbow Thursdays

Where Springdale Comes Alive with Music

There’s something magical about a Thursday evening at Turnbow Park in downtown Springdale. As the sun begins to dip behind Emma Street, the heart of the city pulses with the sound of guitars, laughter, and clinking cups from nearby patios. Welcome to LIVE! at Turnbow – turning a local walk through garden into one of Springdale’s most vibrant community spaces.

Held on the last Thursday of the month by the Downtown Springdale Alliance, starting in spring and continuing through early fall, Turnbow is transformed from 6:30pm to 9:30pm into its own mini music festival, and the best part? It’s totally free. You can roll in with a blanket, a few friends, maybe a dog or two, and soak in sounds that range from bluesy folk to soul-stirring gospel. The variety of music always ensures that there is something on the books for everyone and the trailside location allows easy access, motivating listeners to ride their bikes or take a stroll from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Local food trucks park just steps away, the Downtown Outdoor Dining District means drinks are allowed, and patios of local restaurants back up to the venue, making for a perfect place to perch all night while enjoying the free entertainment provided to the community. You’ll see kids dancing in the grass, couples swaying to the beat, and the occasional grandma who sings along to every word of the song.

It’s the kind of night that reminds you why community matters – where you don’t need tickets, fancy clothes, or even a plan. Just show up and let the music find you.

So mark your calendar. Bring a chair, a friend, maybe a snack or two. And let Turnbow do what it does best: make your Thursday unforgettable!
