Among the spectrum of gifts available at Steve's Flowers and Gifts is an eye-catching collection of sculptures created by Matt Buckley. From this artist's humble beginnings in his garden shed in old England, his stone resin work debuted in North America during 2019, and has quite a following.

Under Matt's studio name of Edge Sculpture, his bold artwork is known for being filled with a powerful strength conveyed through dramatic gestures and unique forms. After compiling a portfolio of drawings in the late 1980s, he pursued art college to broaden his horizons. The business name describes the nature of the work, and it was inspired by his mother who reportedly thought his pieces had an “edge” to them. He mainly focuses on figures of animals and mythical creatures.
Matt's sculptures start in clay to create the dynamic and organic feeling of each individual piece. The finished clay masters then are moulded and hand cast using ceramic polystone. The last touch is the skilful application of hand finishing and painting that brings the figures to life.
