Unplug, Reconnect

with Wild Souls Yoga in Broomfield

It’s spring, and people are itching to get outside. What are some of the benefits of reconnecting with nature through Yoga?

Yoga teaches us the natural cycles of nature, of life, and how to connect with those changing rhythms for our health. Spring is a time to cleanse physically, energetically, and mentally. We thaw ourselves from the cold, wet winter and come into a lighter, more playful way of being. A yoga practice is a great way to lighten up, to detox, and to move out stagnant energy from our being.

You’re explaining the concept of Yoga to someone who is only vaguely familiar with it. What are you telling them?

Yoga is a way to connect with ourselves. Yoga gives us the opportunity to understand how we feel in our hearts, our minds, and our bodies. Once we have a better idea of how we feel, we then get the chance to shift to better support how we want to feel, how we want to show up in life.

Broomfield is a family-oriented community. How can Yoga help families get out and experience the natural world together?

Yoga is a wonderful family-centric and community centric activity! All ages and all bodies are able to do some sort of yoga practice. Our Saturday classes at Rails End Beer Company are family friendly. Heck, we even have dogs at yoga from time to time!

On the flipside, maybe you’re talking to a busy mom or dad who is craving a bit of solitude. What can they do to break free and unwind?

A busy mom or dad NEEDS to learn to take time for themselves. The better we take care of ourselves, the better equipped we are to take care of those we love. Carving out time for a moment to stop, to breathe, and to check in with ourselves is a powerful practice.

Tell us more about your Yoga retreats!

We offer 2-4 yoga retreats a year throughout Colorado. However, this year we'll be exploring & staying in the beautiful city of Scottsdale, AZ. Come with friends or come by yourself. Either way, you will feel supported and included throughout the weekend filled with yoga, hiking, napping, great food, & incredible community. You will leave the weekend feeling refreshed and nourished!

Is there anything else you want to mention?

We have a great event coming up in Broomfield on April 23rd.  It is called Find Your Wild; A Mind, Body Triathlon. This is hosted at Rails End Beer Company and is a morning of dance, pilates, yoga, meditation and so much more. Grab your girlfriends and enjoy the body movement, community connections and shop in our Conscious Vendor Village. That’s right!  We will be hosting other women-owned businesses—so you can continue to buy and shop local. Hope to see you there!
