Urban Tree is more than just a tree service. Their team of arborists care for the health and longevity of your trees. Every part they remove from a tree gets a second life as soil, mulch or firewood that is manufactured on-site. High quality logs even get a chance at becoming your next cutting board or dining room table. These folks practice a true commitment to sustainability.
Husband and wife team Jenni Urbanczyk and Scott Anderson moved their operation from Moab, Utah to Jenni’s hometown of Boerne after they created their first two kids. Scott is an ISA Certified Arborist with twelve years of experience in the trees and mountains of Utah. Jenni brings her creative eye, love of making things and affinity for multitasking to the business.
The tree service focuses primarily on commercial jobs and trees in construction. They rely on the latest science and technology in tree care to maintain and preserve Texas’ Heritage Trees. Scott has extensive training in and is Oak Wilt certified, spending a great deal of time assessing and combating the spread of this destructive disease.
When trees require removal they are milled and kiln dried on-site. Trees get a second life as high-quality furniture and home goods. Every piece is hand-made from wood sourced in San Antonio and the Hill Country. Any raw wood not suited for the sawmill goes into our firewood production and is available for purchase. Perfect for marshmallow roasting or the serious pit master.
“We love this place and this planet and aim to reduce waste to the fullest of our potential. We are committed to sustainability and treat trees like they’re old friends. We want to keep ‘em around as long as we can.”
