Van Alstyne Scouting BSA Troop #44 invites individuals within the Van Alstyne Independent School District to join your neighbors in proudly displaying the American Flag in front of your home. This program allows residents of the Van Alstyne community to show their pride and love for our Country.
What is the Van Alstyne Holiday Flag Program?
In exchange for an annual subscription price of $50, Troop #44 will place a 3-foot x 5-foot American Flag on a pole between the curb and sidewalk of your home on the following National holidays:
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Flag Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Patriots Day
- Veterans Day
How does this help Troop#44?
Proceeds from this flag program enable our local scouts to go to summer camp and to fund less fortunate young men and women in our community the opportunity to join the BSA Scouting adventure and learn essential life skills.
What does Van Alstyne Scouting BSA Troop #44 teach young women and men?
The Van Alstyne Scouting program teaches various skills and values to develop young people's character, citizenship, and leadership. Key areas of focus include:
