Venice Lifestyle Magazine is excited to announce the addition of Virginia LaPlante to our team! Virginia is an advertising Accounts Manager and a great resource for the community.

In recent years, Virginia has served on the board of Venice MainStreet, and has worked in magazines and advertising throughout her successful career.

“I am so excited to join Venice Lifestyle,” Virginia says. “A high quality magazine brings a community together like family. It serves as a community resource and highlights the talents of our individuals artists, business people, and everyone who works so hard to make Venice the safe and happy community that it is.”

With a degree in Anthropology, Virginia has lived an adventurous life that included many trips to study Aztec and Mayan temples and ruins in Mexico and Central America.

“I used to go every year for two months, rent a car, and drive through jungles to ruins even when there were no paved roads in those parts of Guatemala and Belize,” Virginia says. “I’d always end my trips in Acapulco, which was such a wonderful place to be.”

Virginia shares the Venice Lifestyle Magazine philosophy of always working toward the betterment of our community. Her past endeavors include being the top model for the iconic Joseph Ribkoff fashion label, as well as starting glossy magazines up and down the east coast of Florida, where she has lived in main cities from Fort Lauderdale to Vero Beach.

“I drove through Venice years ago and immediately fell in love,” Virginia explains. “It was Christmastime and the city was done up in lights. Venice has such charm, such uniqueness. It’s truly a little paradise and I love the Historic Downtown.”

More recently, Virginia was the directory Associate Publisher for 15 HOAs in Sarasota County.

“Just like Charmaine (Venice Lifestyle’s Publisher), I believe our community is the foundation of everything that we do,” Virginia says. “I believe in building lasting, supportive relationships, whether they be business or personal. I am truly excited about joining Venice Lifestyle Magazine!”
