Venturing Life With Local Bands

Seek Out Local Musicians To Enjoy Groovy, Funky, Toe-Tapping, Inspirational, Soothing Ambiance For Various Moods

Classic Rock: Pillow Fight

Pillow Fight is a popular, classic rock and variety cover band whose members perform regularly at local venues, such as Draft Day Pub as well as Tried & True Alehouse in Greenwood, and specialize in hits spanning the 1960s to today's favorite songs. In fact, their set list includes music from greats, such as Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin and Alanis Morrisette.

Band members consist of six core members: Tatiana Stainbrook, lead singer; Adam Vorndran, guitar and vocals; Ryan Cranfill, guitar and vocals; Jeffrey Abbott, bass; Thomas/Doug Adams, drums; and Joshua Cranfill, sound engineer.

Tatiana says the band's name comes from a promise to avoid internal drama. Several members previously had played in other bands that unfortunately suffered from infighting. When forming this group, they made a pact to resolve any future disagreements playfully by literally having a "pillow fight" rather than causing a rift.

"We cater to the venue or the crowd we're playing for. We play a certain song, and if the crowd really reacts well to it, then we will do more in that genre. We want to play the music that keeps people on the dance floor," she assures.
