“When I bought this house, the views instantly captivated me,” says Lauren Lerner of Living With Lolo. “The combination of being situated on a golf course with stunning mountain views and breathtaking sunsets is truly remarkable.”
Lerner, along with her team, was the designer and general contractor for the project. She aimed to optimize those views during the renovation and preserve the 5,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bath home in North Scottsdale’s original Southwestern architecture.
“While we updated the exterior with some painting touch-ups, we aimed to infuse a modern Southwestern aesthetic indoors,” she explains. “This transformation brought the house in line with modern style without clashing with its exterior charm.”
The Living With Lolo team aimed to bring the desert hues of the outdoors seamlessly inside. To do so, they incorporated a variety of textures into the design, maintaining neutral palettes with delicate hints of color. A dark green cement tub, handmade grass-cloth wallpaper, and plaster fireplaces add unique touches that make the home truly distinctive.
The heart of this home is its chef-inspired kitchen, which features custom cabinetry, sleek quartz countertops, and high-end appliances. There’s also the primary suite, which offers a spa-like bathroom and a private outdoor sitting area.
And while many rooms are on the main floor, a curved staircase to the second floor leads to a spacious game room and private guest suite.
