Vine to Glass

Italian inspired winery brings endless possibilities with incredible views and fresh farm-to-table meals and wine.

Today, nearly 50 wineries make up the vibrant and growing Temecula Wine Country, each situated within its own unique landscape. Among many individual distinguishing features, what primarily sets wineries apart is each one's singular blend of flavors and the deep passion that it's owners and winemakers infuse into their craft. Vitagliano Vineyards & Winery is one such example. With an unwavering dedication to excellence, Vitagliano Vineyards strives to create an inviting and memorable experience for all who visit. The commitment to quality and the heartfelt enthusiasm of the team at Vitagliano make it a "must visit" destination in Temecula's vibrant winery scene.

Well before Vitagliano Vineyards & Vineyards was born, the property was home to Lake Oak Meadows, a popular and often fully booked wedding and event venue, which is still thriving in the heart of the winery estate. According to Jennifer Jeremiason, Vitagliano's Event/Sales Manager, “Owners Frank and Lisa Aglio designed the area (a horse ranch at the time of purchase) specifically as a wedding venue. And then about five years ago, we implemented the winery.”

Located off Glen Oaks Road, almost midway between Rancho California Road and Anza Road, the 10 acre property enjoys a picturesque setting with stunning wine country views and its own private lake. With grounds that are lush, well-manicured and feature a profusion of flowers, it’s no surprise that this top rated event destination is a go-to spot for that picture perfect social media share. The Aglio's mandate to cultivate a gorgeous aesthetic tailor made for photography is evident in every detail, including a regrade to the parking area to ensure that there is a clear view of the entire venue. Vitagliano's three separate event spaces have hosted weddings, charity galas, holiday parties, car shows, community events and other private events of 300 guests or more.

Jeremiason says that although the winery is a newer addition, the owners have truly embraced the joy that it brings to clients. "They enjoy the people and the atmosphere that it's brought to the property," she said.

As for the wine, many of the grapes are grown on the property. Grapes are also sourced from other local spots such as De Luz, making many of their offerings true Temecula wine. Among the Italian varietals grown are Dolcetto, Cabernet Sauvignon, Primitivo, Pinot Grigio and Muscat Canelli. Vitagliano Vineyards & Winery are proud to offer some of the region's finest Super Tuscan varietals.

A few new projects are in the works to expand their wine club offerings, including new members-only lounge areas, as well as a new pool deck renovation with a "Margaritaville feel" that will also be available for members to enjoy.

Vitagliano also offers food items to pair with their wines - the entire menu is made fresh from scratch daily and aims to bring the farm-to-table vibe to everything they serve in the bistro.

Another new addition to the winery is their Friday barbecue nights from 5-9pm. This was born of the owners love of ranch and equestrian life, and highlights of this event include delicious barbecue, live music and free line dancing. Open until 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights, Vitagliano is one of the few wineries that is open late to serve the community. They also regularly offer live music.

Jeremiason says her favorite part of working at the winery is experiencing its sheer beauty. "The pure elegance when you walk in- it's just breathtaking." And people seem to agree... many of whom come regularly to relax, read a book or a magazine.

"There is also a warm, casual family feeling to the winery," Jeremiason says, " and many of the staff have been a part of the winery from the beginning." And the Aglios like it that way. "It's not uncommon to see owners mingling with the crowd, hanging out listening to live music and then hopping behind the bar to help out", she says.
