As we transition into fall and winter, we’re looking forward to the warmth and comfort associated with the time of year.

As designers, we expect warm whites and ivory tones to be foundational colors. Creamy tones add instant warmth and provide a neutral foundation, while the addition of deep greens and understated blues builds on the warm foundation and evokes both a cozy, yet elevated space.

Warm textures are also desirable. Cashmere, velvet and wool fabrics are essential. Switching throw pillows for softer, cozy pillows and throw blankets is an easy and inexpensive way to transition into the cooler months.
