AmaMagna: Redefining the River Cruise Experience
Twice as wide as traditional river ships, AmaWaterways’ most innovative ship to date, AmaMagna, is redefining the river cruise experience on the Danube River. Experience the ultimate in luxury, with more personal space, five bars, four restaurants and a variety of leisure opportunities.
The Suite Life on AmaMagna
More than 50% of accommodations are ultra-spacious suites – the majority measuring 355 square feet – each with its own full balcony, so you’ll enjoy front-row views as you cruise through Germany, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary. Plus, indulge in enhanced suite features and amenities including a bottle of champagne and a complimentary mobile Wi-Fi device to use ashore. There are also six Grand Suites at 474 square feet and one indulgent Owner’s Suite measuring an unprecedented 710 square feet with additional luxuries to surprise and delight you.
Enhance Your Best Self On Board
AmaMagna includes an expansive Zen Wellness Studio with a fitness center offering invigorating classes led by a professional Wellness Host, outdoor spin bikes, two massage rooms, a refreshing juice bar and manicure/pedicure services. There is also an onboard hair salon so you can get your hair styled for a special night on board or ashore. Enjoy laps on the walking track or in the large heated pool or unwind in the soothing whirlpool and pop-up sky bar.
A Culinary Adventure Each Day
Four unique dining venues are certain to please your palate, and every meal is included in the price of your river cruise. In addition to the Main Restaurant, you can dine at The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant – where the kitchen, usually hidden, becomes part of the entertainment. You’ll also love the fresh air and inviting ambience of the Al Fresco Restaurant, where retractable windows and roof invite you to enjoy refreshing breezes and views of the ever-changing Danube River while indulging in a vegetable-forward menu.
Jimmy’s restaurant, which offers a welcoming family-style atmosphere and celebrates the legacy of AmaWaterways’ beloved late Co-Founder Jimmy Murphy, is a wonderful place to break bread among family and newfound friends.
Exclusive New Itinerary
The AmaMagna is truly extraordinary -- and, as such, she needed her own unique itinerary. That's why AmaWaterways’ Co-Founder and President Rudi Schreiner personally curated the Magna on the Danube, a 7-night sailing from Budapest, Hungary to Vilshofen, Germany (or reverse).
This distinctive sailing includes daytime scenic cruising through the Danube Bend, a magnificent stretch with a dramatic turn between rocky hills in Dunakanyar, Hungary. There's no better way to enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery than from the comfort of one of AmaMagna's full-balcony suites.
Magna on the Danube offers both returning guests and those new to the Danube River an in-depth glimpse into Vienna's Baroque splendors with an included excursion to the royal Habsburgs' Schönbrunn Palace and Gardens – not offered on any other AmaWaterways itinerary. You’ll also visit Spitz, Austria, with the option to bike to Melk or hike through town as well as an intimate evening wine tasting in Spitz – an exclusive AmaWaterways experience that includes the chance to sample the region's famous Grüner Veltliner and Riesling wines.
Other ways to experience AmaMagna in all her glory include the Gems of Southeast Europe – an exciting 7-night river cruise along the exotic lower Danube – as well as the 14-night Grand Danube Cruise through Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Austria and Germany. During the holiday season, soak up the Christmas spirit during a Christmas Markets on the Danube sailing and stock up on special keepsakes from each city.
Our warm, friendly crew hope to welcome you on board soon.
