Wheels, Watches and Whiskey

The Stella Hotel and Lake Walk in College Station played host to a magnificent gathering on August 17th as the second annual Wheels | Watches | Whiskey event, presented by McLaren North America, unfolded with resounding success. With a sold-out attendance doubling from the previous year, more than 350 enthusiasts converged for a weekend dedicated to fine automobiles, timepieces, and spirits.

The event commenced Friday evening with a dinner for partners, with Campfire Restaurants Executive Chef Patrick Nelson creating a menu paired with Ferrari Trento wines, the official choice of Formula 1. This intimate gathering set the stage for Saturday's main attraction.

As the weekend's centerpiece unfolded, attendees explored a carefully curated world of luxury. Whiskey aficionados sampled offerings from renowned Texas brands including Tamdhu, Brazos Valley Vodka Company, The World Whiskey Society, Maverick Distilling, and Four Roses. Inside, a marketplace of fine timepieces and jewelry awaited, featuring collections from Bulova, Austin based Dufrane Watches, Seaholm Watches, and David Gardner's Jewelers, who showcased their line of Tudor watches.

Under August’s rising full moon, The Stella Hotel's backyard and Lake Walk provided a picturesque backdrop for an impressive display of exotic, classic, and race cars. Models from McLaren, Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini drew admiring gazes from automotive enthusiasts.

Beyond the indulgence, and most importantly, the event demonstrated a strong commitment to community support. Over $10,000 was raised for local Brazos Valley charity OnRamp Texas, enough to provide a deserving family with safe and reliable transportation.

The festivities continued Sunday with the Round Top Rally. Led by Michael Satterfield, nearly two dozen vehicles embarked on a scenic drive from College Station to Round Top. There, participants enjoyed a special lunch at Royers Round Top Cafe and were treated to a private tour of the Festival Institute.

As the weekend drew to a close, the event's growing popularity and strong community backing were evident. Organizers are already looking ahead to 2025, promising an even more memorable experience for next year's Wheels | Watches | Whiskey gathering.
