Where Creativity Thrives

Preserve the beauty and integrity of your artwork with Art Direct

For more than 20 years, longtime Cedar Park resident George Prichard has been evolving his creative passions, starting with his art degree and career in art sales. It wasn’t until the rise of the internet that he decided to launch his own business right out of his garage. What began with early success selling on platforms like eBay and Amazon has grown into Art Direct, a thriving fine art print, custom framing, and art gallery in Cedar Park.

Today, Art Direct operates out of a 9,000-square-foot space, offering the community a full spectrum of services. Home to over 5,000 frames for custom projects and strategic solutions to elevate the look of your home or business, where big box stores say no, Art Direct says, “Bring it on!” Everything from sports memorabilia to 12-foot-long canvases is handled with care. That’s true whether the pieces are placed in Art Direct’s climate-controlled storage or moved around during the delivery and installation process.

“From posters to reproductions to originals, everyone wants some type of art decor in their home. You don’t have to be a collector to have art on your walls,” says Prichard. His inspiration behind Art Direct traces back to his father, a self-taught artist who never had the chance to pursue formal training. Motivated by his father’s struggles in selling his art, Prichard set out to create a space where anyone—regardless of background—could showcase their talent.

“The best part is seeing customers’ reactions when they pick up a finished design. It’s about getting those personal treasures out of the closet and on the walls where they belong,” says VP Brent Howard.

Art Direct serves as a launchpad for artists, providing resources to elevate their growth. Through collaborations with platforms like Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair, they expand their creative reach beyond Texas. From services like print fulfillment to licensing opportunities and branding, the team manages logistics so artists can focus on what they do best—creating.

“Our gallery is an eclectic space where everyone can find something that resonates with them. It’s exciting to see visitors connect with a piece,” says Giovanna Martin, Marketing and Gallery Coordinator. “We work with everyone—from our community to interior designers to first-time collectors—and create opportunities for Greater Austin to engage with art in meaningful ways.”

Building strong local connections is at the heart of what Art Direct does. Working with Central Texas art societies and over 500 artists, Art Direct’s goal is to give back and make the business journey as effortless as possible.

For their team, what’s most important is bringing people together. That’s why community involvement is a core value at Art Direct. As a sponsor and coach for the Cedar Park Youth League, Prichard ensures that supporting local teams and hosting events is part of the company’s DNA. “Being involved with the community isn’t just something we do, it’s who we are,” says Prichard.
