In Park Cities homes, organization is as much about ease as it is aesthetics. For Real Housewives of Dallas alum Kameron Westcott, working with local favorite Getting it Done Organizing delivered a refresh that extended far beyond her closet.
“Working with Jenny and her team has been such a dream,” Westcott shares. “They’re truly focused on making my life easier. Having everything color-coordinated and visible, from my dresses to my different shades of pink, makes such a difference in how I start my day. I’m able to find what I need quickly and spend more time being present with my children instead of searching for things.”
We spoke with Getting it Done Organizing founder Jenny Dietsch to discuss the philosophy behind this transformation, and what makes Getting it Done Organizing a go-to for Park Cities families.
Getting it Done Organizing has become a trusted resource for so many Park Cities homes. What originally inspired you to start the company?
“After 12 years at home with my three kids, I was ready to return to work, and organizing had always come naturally to me. The real push came when my husband told me we couldn’t afford private school for our son. Around that same time, a friend insisted I organize her playroom. That one project led to another, and before I knew it, Getting it Done Organizing was born.”
You’ve been working with Kameron Westcott for several years now. How did that collaboration first come together?
“We first started working together in 2020 when Kameron was preparing to move into her new home. Our team coordinated a full estate sale to help her downsize before the move, and we even appeared in Season Five of The Real Housewives of Dallas. After the move, Kameron continued to reach out for help with seasonal closets and preserving her children’s artwork, turning their masterpieces into hardbound keepsake books. Over the years, our work with Kameron has evolved as her family’s needs have changed, and we’re incredibly grateful for the trust she’s placed in our team.”
What made her home—and her lifestyle—a natural fit for your team?
“Everyone on our team is a mom, and we love working with other local families, so the Westcotts were a perfect fit. As a fashion influencer, Kameron is always receiving new items to shoot for her social media campaigns. Not only does she have a large wardrobe, but she also needs customized systems to support the constant rotation—clothing for upcoming photo shoots, items she wants to consign or donate, and a dedicated home for everything she plans to keep. Our team specializes in creating tailored organization solutions and providing ongoing maintenance that support busy, ever-evolving lifestyles like hers.”
Can you walk us through your organizing process for Kameron’s home, particularly her closet refresh?
“We started by purging items she no longer wanted, taking clothing, shoes, purses, and jewelry to a local consignment store. From there, we reorganized the space to truly work for her—tightening shoe shelves to add storage, optimizing vertical space, and organizing everything by color from light to dark. We also styled the space so her shoes and handbags are visible and beautifully displayed. One of our favorite features is her sweater wall, where neatly folded, color-coded knits fill the large cubbies in her fall and winter closet, making the space both practical and pleasing to the eye. We believe a closet should feel like you’re shopping in your very own boutique—calm, curated, and effortless.”
Beyond the closet, your team worked through several other areas of Kameron’s home. How do you think about creating cohesion across different spaces while still tailoring each area to its purpose?
“We always start by listening to understand how a family uses a space and what makes sense for their lifestyle before we take action. Our goal is to adapt and adjust each space so it functions well. For Kameron, that meant creating thoughtful systems beyond the closet that helped prevent clutter and supported her family’s lifestyle.”
What surprised you most about working with Kameron, either in terms of her personal style or how she uses her space?
“What surprised me most was seeing just how busy Kameron really is. People see the glamorous side of her life on social media, but not how hard she works behind the scenes. It also surprised me that, despite the amount of beautiful pieces she owns, she is extremely intentional about letting clothing and accessories go and only keeping what truly fits her lifestyle. But I definitely was not surprised by how much pink she has in her wardrobe!”
Many Park Cities homes balance beauty with busy family schedules. How does your organizing philosophy help clients maintain systems long after the initial refresh is complete?
“We believe a space can be both beautiful and functional. When we organize a home, we look at what life looks like right now, but we also plan for how it will change. Families grow, schedules shift, and seasons change. Our systems are intentionally designed with flexibility built in, allowing for things like new hobbies or evolving storage needs as children get older. That’s why we offer ongoing support to help our clients maintain spaces that continue to work long after the initial refresh.”
Social media has offered an inside look at the transformation process. How has sharing projects like this changed the way clients understand the value of professional organizing?
“Professional organizing was once viewed as a luxury reserved for a very small group. Social media has changed that by offering an honest look at real homes and transformations. As people see the impact, they’re beginning to view organizing as a form of self-care rather than a splurge. Many clients are skipping unnecessary purchases and redirecting that money toward systems that help them enjoy what they already own. When systems remove daily friction, they can positively impact mental health and family dynamics—we’ve even had clients tell us that organizing changed how their household functions, and in some cases, saved their marriages.”
What do you find most meaningful about the work you do?
“We work with so many wonderful people, and over time, we become friends. They trust us in their homes and invite us in to help them through all stages of life. We’re so grateful to be a part of that. I have ADHD and when I added systems and structure to my life, I began to thrive. I feel so grateful that I was able to turn my weakness into my superpower and that I am able to use my superpower to help so many people.”
“We believe a closet should feel like you’re shopping in your very own boutique—calm, curated, and effortless.”
