Susan worked in a five-star resort for 16 years, where she dreamt of one day giving local clients the luxury experience given to tourists. Salas’ dream came true in December 2021 when she opened her spa to “provide innovative and health-conscious services and integrate peace within the mind, body, and spirit.”

Desert Beauty Lab offers zero-degree gravity pedicure chairs, which elevates the leg above the position of the heart, eliminating the gravitational weight on the spine. They offer audio-guided meditation headsets where guests are levitated into another plane of relaxation as the Desert Beauty Lab teams take care of their hands and feet via their various pedicure and manicure options. One popular option is the addition of the Theragun for deep muscle therapy to manicures and pedicures. At the end of their relaxing session, guests are welcome to take their nail files, buffers, and pumice stones for future use at home.
Susan has made it her mission for prices to always remain affordable even though they utilize top-of-the-line and exclusive products. And because she values the local community, the company participates in many philanthropic initiatives.
